OSAT - On-Site Assessment and Training

No dates are currently scheduled for the OSAT - On-Site Assessment and Training course

Certification: SVQ

Duration: 6-9 months

Course Content:

Our highly skilled and experienced trainers can carry out On-Site Assessment and Training (OSAT) in the fields of Carpentry and Joinery, Painting and Decorating and Brickwork.

Through OSAT experienced but ‘unqualified’ construction workers are able to gain a nationally recognised qualification (SVQ), whilst continuing in their work fulltime. This, along with a completed health and safety assessment, can then help them to obtain a CSCS card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) - something that proves the worker is skilled in their trade and which many contractors now require before allowing access to a construction site.

Funding assistance for companies supporting staff through this qualification can apply, please enquire for details.

Description: On-site Assessment and Training (OSAT) is a method of assessing the skills and knowledge of construction professionals in the workplace. It assists experienced construction workers to become qualified with an SVQ, without having to leave work and attend college. This SVQ along with a health and safety assessment can help the individual to secure their CSCS card.

Prerequisites: Delegates must offer practical experience in the area they wish to qualify. Delegates must be in relevant employment - all assessments and training (if necessary) are carried out in the workplace.

Target group: Experienced contruction employees.

Additional Notes: Funding assistance can be secured in many cases. For more details please enquire with the bSolutions team.

Venue: This course is normally workplace based and course delivery would take place there.
