Description: This new qualification has been developed in order to meet the needs of the electrical contracting industry. It is intended to provide candidates with an introduction to the fundamentals of inspection, testing and initial verification of electrical installations. It is aimed at practising electricians who have not carried out inspection and testing since qualifying or who require some update training. It is also suitable for those coming into the industry with limited experience of inspection and testing. Candidates who achieve this qualification could progress onto the Certificate in Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations (2392-10).
Target group: Practicing Electricians
Additional Notes: Assessment is via a multiple choice online test covering the underpinning knowledge relating to the fundamental inspection, testing and initial verification of electrical installations, as required by BS 7961:2008. Candidates also have to undertake a practical test covering the range of inspections, tests, verification and recording of information and results for a new electrical installation, as required by BS 7961:2008.
Venue: This course can be delivered at one of our learning centres across Aberdeen city or shire or at a suitable location of your choice.
