Description:
The aim of this course is to provide delegates with an awareness of the main alterations and additions incorporated in BS 7671: 2008.
The certificate in the Requirements for Electrical Installations (16th to 17th edition update BS7671:2008)qualification addresses the changes and additions from the June 2001 amendment to the 2008 17th edition. The 2382-20 qualification is therefore only suitable for candidates who can demonstrate achievement against qualifications that cover this version of the regulations in its entirety. It is primarily aimed at practising electricians and other allied professionals e.g. electrical engineers, contracts managers, designers, consultants, surveyors and other related trades with a good working knowledge of BS 7671, who have already achieved the City & Guilds Certificate in the requirements for electrical installations (BS 7671: 2001) (2381).
Prerequisites: Delegates must have the 17th Edition Regulations and On-Site guide books which are the only two books allowed on the exam. Delegates must have achieved one of the following qualifications (and bring a copy of certificate), that address the 16th edition (June 2001) of BS7671, to enter the 2382-20 qualification: City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in the requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671:2001 (2381) City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Electro technical Technology Installation, Building & Structures (2330-07) City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Electro technical Technology, Electrical Maintenance (2330-08) City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Electrical Installation Part 2 from 1st January 2004 (2360) Delegates unable to provide evidence of prior achievement MUST undertake the full 17th edition qualification (2382-10)
