Includes the following:
- Legislation & Regulation: COSHH and fluorocarbon
- refrigerants, first aid and personal protective equipment
- Environmental Protection Act (1990)
- Refrigerant leakages, deliberate venting and inadvertent loss
- Basic refrigeration principles and system controls
- System maintenance and service
- Refrigerant charging and leak testing
- Evacuating refrigeration system
- Safe decanting techniques
Description: This short course is aimed at technicians, to provide them with an insight into the principles of refrigeration, the correct operation of the system to optimise running costs and the safety and environmental issues facing the industry.
Target group: Technicians
Venue: This course is delivered at the main College campus in Fraserburgh, however may also be delivered in client premises, subject to equipment meeting current Health and Safety legislation.
