Candidates  have the opportunity to select the appropriate weld standards which confirm  to: 

Description: This course is designed for companies who require to develop new welding procedures.

Target group: Experienced Welders

Additional Notes:

Weld procedure is witnessed by an external inspection authority.

The test consists of:

  1. Witnessing of weld test piece preparation
  2. Witnessing of the welding of the test piece
  3. Visual examination of the welded test piece
  4. Authorisation by a Lloyds surveyor
  5. All weld parameters will be recorded and documented
  6. Welds will be mechanically tested according to ASME IX & or ISO 15614
  7. Successful candidates will be awarded a WPS and a coded welder approval certificate.

On completion of a WPS, students may choose to progress with further procedures.

Venue: This course is delivered at the main College campus in Fraserburgh, however may also be delivered in client premises, subject to equipment meeting current Health and Safety legislation.
