- Practical assessment of current skills (sample welds)
- Discussions on tuition requirements
- Practical welding sessions (edge preparation, welding parameters, weld inspection & testing)

- ASME IX
- BS EN 287 / 288
Description: This course is designed to assess experienced welders who do not possess a welder approval certificate to ASME IX. It will enable specific tuition and practical work to be undertaken to prepare the candidate for a coded welding test.
Prerequisites: Participants should bring boiler-suit, safety boots & welding hood.
Target group: Experienced Welders
Additional Notes: Discussion essential prior to commencement of course, including copy of organisations' welding procedures so that training meets specification of workplace.
Venue: This course is delivered at the main College campus in Fraserburgh, however may also be delivered in client premises, subject to equipment meeting current Health and Safety legislation.
