- Causes and prevention of main types of food poisoning and food borne infections
- Personal hygiene
- Prevention of contamination and premature spoilage of food
- Effective cleaning and disinfection
- Appropriate design, construction and maintenance of food premises and equipment
- Main requirements of the Food Safety Act and principal associated regulations
- HACCP
Description: This course is intended to provide sound training in food hygiene for food handlers. Attendees will be able to follow hygienic practices in dealing with food in a healthy and safe environment which complies with relevant legislation.
