The course also helps delegates to identify and resolve manual handling risks in their workplace.
If your organisation has five or more employees it is legally obliged to carry out a suitable and sufficient assessment of risk arising from work activities and to record the significant findings. This course will train employees who need to be aware of the need for risk assessment. The course provides the knowledge and skills required to be able to design, implement and monitor a system of risk assessment within the workplace.
HSE strongly recommend that all first aiders undertake annual refresher training within any 3 year certification period. This is not mandatory but will help qualified first aiders maintain their basic skills and keep up to date with any changes to first aid procedures. (This does not replace the 2 day refresher that all qualified first aiders must undertake after 3 years)
